Child Protection Policy

Fifty United Church’s Child Protection Policy is one way by which we join the United Church of Canada in putting into practice our spiritual, moral and legal responsibility to ensure, as best we can, a safe environment for all people in our building and programs, especially the more vulnerable among us. Faithfulness to God and to Jesus require that we provide safe space for the vulnerable, and that we share our gifts and offer leadership in ways that are respectful and protective of others.

The policy applies to the care of all minors in any church programs (including Sunday school and other group activities, as well as one-on-one counselling and support), and the behaviour of all leaders and care-givers, both paid and volunteer.
